Following the publication of the 53rd BOURC Report in January 2022 (Ibis 164: 363-388), versions 11.1 and 11.2 of the IOC World Bird List were adopted which resulted in a number of changes to the British List.

The systematic list has therefore been updated to include the following changes:

Resequence Anseriformes to precede Galliformes
The sequence of Phasianidae has been revised:
